Events at Nomad Update

To our Nomad community,

We have some bittersweet news to share about what’s ahead for Events at Nomad on the mountain.

For nearly a decade, our mountain event space has been home to weddings, celebrations, brunches, festivals, pop-ups, and countless moments that brought people together. We’ve watched couples get married here, families celebrate milestones, friends gather around tables, and this community show up for us again and again.

In the coming weeks, our time at the mountain event space will come to an end. Our final weekend brunches will be August 30 and September 6, with our remaining scheduled events taking place shortly thereafter.

But we want to be very clear about one thing: Nomad is not closing. Quite the opposite.

The Nomad of today looks a lot different than the Nomad we started nearly a decade ago.

What began as a small craft distillery has continued to grow and evolve, and over the last several years, our canned cocktails have become an increasingly important part of who we are. What started locally is now reaching customers far beyond our tasting rooms, and distribution has become a major focus of our business.

That growth has created new opportunities for Nomad—and has also required us to take a hard look at where we put our time, energy, and resources.

Closing the mountain event space wasn’t a decision we took lightly, and it wasn’t a transition we expected to happen this quickly. But as Nomad continues to grow as a canned cocktail and distribution business, we believe focusing our energy there is the right next step for our company, our team, and our family.

And while one part of Nomad is changing, so much of what you know and love isn’t going anywhere.

We’ll continue creating great products with great flavor. Our tasting rooms in downtown Williamsport, Jim Thorpe, and New Hope will remain open and welcoming you in. You’ll still be able to shop Nomad online, and we’ll continue expanding our distribution and working to bring Nomad canned cocktails to more shelves, bars, restaurants, and communities.

Simply put, we’re not winding down—we’re focusing on where Nomad is growing.

As we make this transition, we are committed to handling it thoughtfully and are communicating directly with our event clients, vendors, and team.

And for those who have joined us for brunch or celebrated a special event at the mountain over the years, you probably already know two of the people who have made those experiences so special: Shawn and Precious Guay. So much of the hospitality, care, and quality you’ve experienced there has had their fingerprints on it.

As this chapter changes for Nomad, Shawn and Precious are beginning an exciting new venture of their own, and we couldn’t be happier for them. They’ll be sharing more about what they’re doing soon, and we hope you’ll follow along and support them in what comes next.

For now, we hope you’ll join us for one of our final brunches and help us celebrate what the mountain has meant to all of us.

Thank you for nearly a decade of celebrations, shared tables, weddings, Sunday brunches, friendships, and support. Being part of your milestones—and having you be part of ours—has meant more to us than we can say.

This chapter may be ending, but Nomad isn’t.

We’re incredibly grateful for what has been, proud of what Nomad has become, and excited about where we’re going next.
